The seventh form of Maa Durga is KaalRatri. She is extremely black in color, however she is always known to remove darkness. Her face creates fear but she always eager to kill wicked and results in auspicious that is why she is known as “Shubhmkari” as well. She has round eyes like galaxy. With every breathing, fire comes out of her nose. She is having four hands. One hand possesses special Sword (khadag) and another hand has Iron weapon. The other two hands show the blessings on Fearlessness (abhay mudra) and Promising posture (Var mudra). Her prayer day is seventh in Navratra.
Her conveyance is Donkey (gardabh).
Maa KaalRatri Mantra
एकवेणी जपाकर्णपूरा नग्ना खरास्थिता, लम्बोष्टी कर्णिकाकर्णी तैलाभ्यक्तशरीरिणी। वामपादोल्लसल्लोहलताकण्टकभूषणा, वर्धनमूर्धध्वजा कृष्णा कालरात्रिर्भयङ्करी॥
The things which should be used in Liturgy(Pooja):
On this day of Navratra, Treacle (Gudd) should be offered to Maa and later to Brahmin as well.
If the person does the prayer with pure devotion, devotee could be free from all sort of sorrow and can get paranormal/supernatural powers.
Devotee must concentrate on Sahasrara chakra while doing meditation (dhyan) of Maa to get these auspicious blessings.
